POLYCARBONATE LENSES
All Bobster Eyewear models features durable, lightweight, polycarbonate lenses which provide startling optical clarity and protection against high-mass and high-velocity impact. Polycarbonate lenses are the preferred lenses for performance eyewear because they are shatter-resistant and will NOT splinter if hit by fast-moving objects, such as debris and small stones. All Bobster® lenses provide 100% UVA & UVB protection. *Bobster Eyewear utilizes polycarbonate lenses in all of our frames unless otherwise noted.
OPTICALLY CORRECT/DECENTERED LENSES
When looking through a non-optically correct lens your eyes will continually refocus due to distortion, which leads to headaches and dizziness. Bobster looks to provide you with the most optically correct and best clarity lenses possible.
INTERCHANGEABLE LENSES
Bobster specializes in the design of interchangeable eyewear customized to change along with ambient light and environmental conditions as well as user requirements. Lenses can be switched out quickly with ease by popping the lens from the frame and inserting the new lens of choice.
Interchangeable frames (sunglass or goggle frame) come with multiple lens colors to be switched without according to lighting conditions.

While ordinary tinted lenses reduce brightness, only polarized lenses eliminate glare. Bobster® uses polycarbonate polarized lenses to ensure the impact resistance of the lenses while most other companies use polarized lenses that will shatter at high impact.
PHOTOCHROMIC ACTIVE CELL TECHNOLOGY
Bobster photochromic lenses are available in a variety of eyewear styles and are precision designed to automatically darken/lighten to the amount of ultraviolet (UV) light that reaches the lens. The advantage of a photochromic lens is you can wear your eyewear all day and not have to carry multiple sets of eyewear with you or change your lenses according to light conditions. Bobster® offers a wide range of eyewear with photochromic lenses with varying transmission rates. The higher the transmission (VLT) rate the lighter the lens color. Clear lenses have a transmission rate between 80%-100% and typical smoked lenses have a transmission rate between 8-18%.
Please note: Most photochromic lenses do NOT get as dark as traditional smoked lenses. Please do not leave photochromic lenses in direct sun or extreme heat for long periods of time as it will decrease the performance of the lenses.
